Charming boutique hotel experience, Outdoor seating with views, Unique themed rooms
The rooms are small whether you like it or not!!! Noise from the lively piazza can spoil quiet moments after hours!!! Bathrooms could use an upgrade to avoid flooding issues when showering!!!

Couples looking for charm
We had a small double room that was perfectly quiet, a good area for relaxing after a day of exploring. The staff really went above and beyond, they even took our bags to the room and showed us how to work everything. It felt personal, like they genuinely cared about our stay. And yeah, we had a lovely breakfast to start our days with. The location right next to such a beautiful site made everything easier. Watching the world outside from our window was a real treat.
It wasn't the cheapest place, but considering the quality of the experience, it was still reasonable.

9/10
Ope, we were lucky to get an upgrade and had a lovely room with a view of the Duomo! The staff really felt like family—totally went outta their way to help us. Breakfast was plentiful, and ya just gotta love those vibrant street celebrations outside. Just a bit of noise at night, but that’s Orvieto for ya!

Hotel Virgilio is in an unbeatable location directly opposite the Duomo. Our large double room provided beautiful views and was surprisingly spacious for a European hotel. The staff went above and beyond to assist us, especially with great local recommendations. Breakfast was a lovely spread to kickstart our days, and the charming outdoor patio added to our experience.
A slight downside was the bathroom design, which could lead to water on the floor after showers.

great location but noise can be bothersome
The staff provided personalized service, ensuring all our requests were met promptly. The room had a charming design with its unique theme, making our stay feel special. I particularly enjoyed the garden view while having breakfast, adding a lovely start to the day.
The noise from the street outside can disturb the peace, especially at night.

Just an ideal choice for a break on long journey in Orvieto with incredible value for money. We really appreciated being able to take our breakfast trays outside to enjoy the view of the cathedral. Make sure to ask about parking options nearby to avoid confusion.

The location is superb, directly across from the stunning cathedral and within easy reach of cultural attractions and eateries. Staff interactions were consistently friendly and supportive, exemplified when they went out of their way to assist after a forgotten item was left behind. The breakfast spread was generous, yet the room lacked soundproofing, leading to disturbances at night. A limited number of channels on the TV was also disappointing.

We had a lovely time exploring Orvieto, with the hotel located perfectly for visits to nearby sites. The kids enjoyed playing in the outdoor areas, and we appreciated the convenience of breakfast while overlooking the Duomo. Such memorable family moments!
In my wife’s opinion, there could be better options for family-focused entertainment.
